ABOUT US
The Merrylands Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2011, initially as the Holroyd Council’s CBD Committee, but later became an independent entity called the Merrylands Chamber of Commerce.
In 2016 the Holroyd Council became the Cumberland Council, merging the cities of auburn, partly Parramatta and Holroyd. The Merrylands Chamber of Commerce became the primary Chamber within the Cumberland Council Area.
In 2021, with the closure of another chamber which serviced the Fairfield areas , we expanded our operations into Strathfield and Fairfield, making us the chamber which services the largest area in Sydney.
In 2020 our Chamber realigned its services recognizing the changing needs of a vastly migrant population. Our Chamber operates under 5 main tenets.
Representation
Knowledge sharing
Socialization
Business Promotion
Cross-Cultural Synergies
The Chamber is governed by a Board of Director which is elected from its members at the Annual General Meeting every year.
Our Chamber holds monthly events . Our Chamber is now an alliance partner with Business NSW and The Chamber Alliance of Western Sydney.( CAWS). Through these associations we are able to channel critical information and advocate for better policies for businesses.
